Dragon Season

Tis the season
Dragons snare
Spinning backwards
Blurred to care
Sketching crosshairs
Between the blades
It’s you or them
The game life made.
Pulled under by
The flow below
Slave to where
The currents go
Battles rage
Beneath the crest
Morals' code
Hacked to death
It’s all for one
Destroy the rest.
Rage and fear
Feed the beasts
Winless streaks
This riddle of peace
Lies are good
Hurt is game
Self is served
Dragons reign.
Tis the season
Keep in mind
Ride the wave
In Dragon time
Take the swipes
The lowest nights
Trudge the path
When nothing’s right
Be the good
Step after step
Trust that dragons
Won’t stand the test.
One day soon
You’ll wake and see
It was all a game
You won with me.
